How does Sudha's cold-pressed oil differ from standard commercial coconut oil?
Commercial oils are extracted using extreme heat and hexane solvents, then bleached and deodorized. Sudha is extracted in traditional wildwood neem mortar at slow speeds, keeping temperature under 42°C. Nothing is added, nothing is stripped, preserving natural lauric acid, aroma, and nutrients.
Why does this virgin coconut oil solidify, and does it affect its purity?
Pure unrefined coconut oil naturally has a melting point of 24°C. Below this temperature, it turns solid and cloudy white. This is a primary indicator of raw purity. Simply place the bottle in warm water for a few minutes to liquify it. Do not microwave.
Can I use this oil on acne-prone or extremely sensitive skin?
Our oil is 100% hypoallergenic and chemical-free, making it highly compatible with dry and sensitive skin. Since coconut oil has moderate comedogenicity, if you have active acne-prone skin, we recommend testing a few drops on your jawline or using it primarily as a nourishing pre-cleanser.
Is the bottle recyclable, and how should it be stored?
Yes. We package exclusively in lead-free amber glass bottles that protect the sensitive oil from sunlight. Store in a cool, dry pantry away from direct sunlight. Make sure the cap is tightly closed to keep moisture out.
